Learn Baseball From The Ground Up And Watch The Players Keep Coming Back!
T-Ball Skills & Drills presents 37 creative drills that T-Ball
coaches and parents can do with their team or their own kids at home.
Between two and a half and three million kids participate in T-Ball
every year. Hitting fundamentals, throwing, baserunning and fielding are
just some of the skills covered. Coaches need to be creative to keep
kids stimulated in practices and during games. Many of the drills in
T-Ball Skills & Drills use common household items as props. The
drills give useful hints for skills like throwing and catching fly balls
that will make it achievable for 5,6, and 7 year old kids. Other
important T-Ball issues are emphasized such as safety. This program is
appropriate for all T-Ball coaches and parents. Children as young as
four up to seven years old will learn useful skills from this program
should they continue playing baseball or softball.
About Marty Schupak and T-Ball
Marty Schupak is President of the Youth Sports Club as well as T-Ball America.
He started T-Ball America because:
"I got tired of watching kids drop out of baseball for soccer and lacrosse. I wanted to start an organization
that coaches and parents could use as a resource for the best t-ball tips. The T-Ball America "Quick Tip"
page is one of the most visited pages in the world for t-ball tips. I encourage parents to buy this video
and check out T-Ball America."

-Midwest Book Review
For many kids, T-ball (a form of baseball in which players hit baseballs off of tees instead of swinging at a pitched ball) is their entry into the great American pastime. This helpful instructional title from coach Marty Schupak presents more than 30 drills suitable for young beginners. The first drill, in which the batter simply uses a plastic bat to swing at the tee itself, is a great way to build confidence; other exercises cover the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, base running, and fielding (colored bases, bowling pins, and milk jugs are among the clever props employed). The program also provides tips for parents and coaches (including how to organize the drills in a logical order), addresses safety issues, and suggests various practice games. All the while, narration plays over scenes of real kids and adults working hard and having a great time on the ball field. Highly recommended.
